| Its Easy Being Green
| I’m reading a book now by a young girl, Emma Sleeth, called "It’s Not Easy Being Green." The book is very entertaining and insightful. Emma is 17 and has a lot of wisdom to share with the world. Her book gives funny analogies and practical ideas as to how to help lessen one’s ecological footprint. Her ideas are sound and her humor makes the book a delight to read. I believe it was intended for younger audiences but nothing about it is childish. She intertwines her faith with her desire to see a greener tomorrow creating an ecological masterpiece. Since the book was intended to grab the attention of a younger generation, I would definitely recommend it to conscientious youth. She is someone who seems to have a good grasp on what is environmentally sustainable and also seems to be a very responsible person. Her dad is a speaker and writer on environmental issues and climate change.
I found the book a blessing to read. It was funny, cute, practical and not boring by any means. It reads more like a novel because of all of the analogies she uses and stories from her not-too-distant childhood. | |
